Why? Why is the sun smiling?

Friday's forecast is for a high of 7° F and a low of -3° F. It comes with a *special* weather statement. Ack!!! Thankfully Bo has invited me over for cocktails so I can keep warm.

Statement as of 4:02 AM EST on January 24, 2007

... Dangerously cold wind chills are expected across southern New
England late Thursday night and Friday morning...

A bitter cold airmass... the coldest of the season... will pour into
southern New England Thursday night and Friday on gusty northwest
winds.

Wind chills will drop to 15 to 25 below zero late Thursday night and
Friday morning across the interior... and 10 to 15 below zero along
the South Coast. Actual air temperatures will not get out of the
single numbers on Friday across the higher elevations... with
temperatures struggling into the lower teens in
Hartford... Providence and Boston.

Wind chill advisories will likely be needed for a large portion of
southern New England late Thursday night into Friday.

If you plan on being outdoors on Friday... plan for bitter cold
conditions and dress appropriately.

Rendezvous! Oui!

My landlord, landlady, and Bo's Owner bought a bar, The Rendezvous. It's two doors down. I've started a list of demands. There may be a drink named after me. Sigh, they won't open until late spring! Stay tuned.

Here's the old bar. And here!

Scuba Kitty!

I never could muster the interest and courage to go scuba diving, but hey I've snorkeled a bit and that's plenty for me. But not for SCUBA KITTY!!

You Cute Overload regulars out there will have already seen this, but I must make sure all y'all get a glimpse.

Since I'm here, how about a photo or 2.

The kitties huddle on the couch on a chilly night in New England. Or, could it be love?

There's been yet another photo exhibit opening at the Hallmark Museum on Avenue A. Bo, however, is the only star worth knowing in Turners Falls. Note the matching leash while she works the red carpet. A classic look.

IF you die. Love continues. Protect your Family...

That is the subject line of my current favorite spam at hotmail. It is so hopeful! To Life! To Love! To Family! You might not even die, but just in case, buy life insurance!

It comes with a wonderful "home alone" looking child, which is what your child will be if you don't buy life insurance!
